THE SMOKY BEAN-SILK DIP
(Our Play on Warm Black Bean Dip)
Ingredients: 400g Black beans (canned/rinsed), 1 tbsp Chipotle in Adobo, 1 tsp Cumin, 1 tsp Garlic powder, 100g Cream cheese, 50ml Milk, 100g Cheddar (grated), 1 small red onion (minced)...

- 400g Black beans (canned/rinsed)
- 1 tbsp Chipotle in Adobo
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 100g Cream cheese
- 50ml Milk
- 100g Cheddar (grated)
- 1 small red onion (minced)
Cooking Method
- The Architect Sauté onion in 1 tbsp oil until soft.
- The Bloom Add chipotle and spices with a tiny 15ml splash of water; the heat will swell the smoky oils.
- The Marriage Add beans, cream cheese, milk, and cheddar; whisk on medium heat until a thick molten silk forms.
- The Mash Coarsely mash half the beans into the silk to maintain some architecture.
- The Final Flourish Top with raw diced tomatoes, jalapeños, and fresh coriander.
