THE SILK-CLOAKED MINCE-MIST
(Our Play on Quick Wonton Soup)
Ingredients: 12 Pork Wontons (store-bought or homemade), 800ml Chicken stock, 1 tbsp Soy sauce, 20g Fresh ginger (sliced), 2 cloves Garlic (crushed), Sesame oil, Fresh spring onions...
Ingredients
- 12 Pork Wontons (store-bought or homemade)
- 800ml Chicken stock
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 20g Fresh ginger (sliced)
- 2 cloves Garlic (crushed)
- Sesame oil
- Fresh spring onions
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Dry-toast the ginger and garlic in the pot for 1 minute until fragrant.
- The Bloom Add a tiny 20ml splash of water to 'hiss' the pot before adding the stock and soy.
- The Swell Bring stock to a boil; simmer for 5 minutes then remove the ginger and garlic.
- The Marriage Add wontons; simmer for 4 minutes until they float and the skins are silky.
- The Finish Finish with a heavy drizzle of sesame oil and fresh spring onions.
