- 2 Duck thighs (skin-on)
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Five-spice powder
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 10g Ginger (grated)
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Score the duck skin; fry skin-side down on low heat for 15 minutes to render the fat until crispy.
- The Architect Flip the duck; sauté garlic and ginger in the rendered fat until golden.
- The Bloom Whisk soy, honey, and five-spice with a 30ml splash of water; pour into the pan.
- The Marriage Simmer for 5 minutes until the duck is tender and the sauce is a thick, black lacquer.
- The Final Flourish Finish with fresh orange zest and coriander.
