THE SESAME BLOCK-STEAKS
(Our Play on Teriyaki Tofu Steaks)
Ingredients: 400g Extra-firm Tofu (sliced into 2cm thick slabs), 2 tbsp Soy sauce, 1 tbsp Honey, 1 tsp Ginger paste, 2 tbsp Sesame oil, Black sesame seeds, Nori strips...
Ingredients
- 400g Extra-firm Tofu (sliced into 2cm thick slabs)
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- 2 tbsp Sesame oil
- Black sesame seeds
- Nori strips
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Fry tofu slabs in sesame oil on high heat for 4 minutes per side until very crispy.
- The Bloom Whisk the silk ingredients with a 20ml splash of water; pour into the pan.
- The Marriage Turn the slabs in the bubbling glaze for 2 minutes until it reduces to a dark, thick lacquer.
- The Finish Dust with sesame seeds and top with raw seaweed strips.
