THE SESAME BLOCK-STEAKS

Ingredients: 400g Extra-firm Tofu (sliced into 2cm thick slabs), 2 tbsp Soy sauce, 1 tbsp Honey, 1 tsp Ginger paste, 2 tbsp Sesame oil, Black sesame seeds, Nori strips...

Ingredients

  • 400g Extra-firm Tofu (sliced into 2cm thick slabs)
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • Black sesame seeds
  • Nori strips

Cooking Method

  1. The Scorch Fry tofu slabs in sesame oil on high heat for 4 minutes per side until very crispy.
  2. The Bloom Whisk the silk ingredients with a 20ml splash of water; pour into the pan.
  3. The Marriage Turn the slabs in the bubbling glaze for 2 minutes until it reduces to a dark, thick lacquer.
  4. The Finish Dust with sesame seeds and top with raw seaweed strips.
