Ingredients
- 250g Toor Dal (soaked and coarsely ground)
- 1 Red onion (finely diced)
- 10 Curry leaves
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Chili flakes
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 500ml Vegetable oil
Cooking Method
- The Mix Combine ground dal, architect, and spices into a thick, dry mix; do not add water.
- The Shape Flatten small handfuls into rough disks; press firmly so they don't break.
- The Fry Drop into 180°C oil; fry for 5 minutes until dark golden and crispy.
- The Final Flourish Serve immediately with a hit of raw ginger chutney.
