THE RED-FIRE FUNGAL BOWL
(Our Play on Spicy Mushroom Tacos)
Ingredients: 400g Mixed mushrooms (sliced), 1 tsp Smoked paprika, 1 tsp Garlic powder, 0.5 tsp Chili flakes, 1 Red onion (petals), 2 tbsp Oil, 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp Honey...
Ingredients
- 400g Mixed mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Chili flakes
- 1 Red onion (petals)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp Honey
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Fry mushrooms and onions in a dry pan on high heat until they release their water and the edges char.
- The Bloom Add spices and a tiny 20ml splash of water; this creates a smoky steam that coats the fungi.
- The Marriage Add vinegar and honey; toss for 2 minutes until the mushrooms are dark and glistening.
- The Final Flourish Serve in charred tortillas with raw fresh salsa and lime.
