- 400g French Green Beans (trimmed)
- 50g Flaked almonds
- 50g Butter
- 1 Shallot (minced)
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Lemon (juiced)
- Fresh Parsley
Cooking Method
- The Boil Blanch beans in salted water for 3 minutes until bright green; drain.
- The Scorch Toast almonds in a dry pan until golden and nutty; remove.
- The Architect Melt butter in the pan; sauté shallots until translucent.
- The Bloom Add pepper and a 15ml splash of lemon juice to the butter; the sizzle will release the citrus oils.
- The Marriage Toss the beans and almonds in the lemon-butter until every snap is glistening.
- The Final Flourish Top with a massive hit of raw parsley and extra lemon zest.
