Ingredients
- 250g Black lentils (Urad dal)
- 50g Kidney beans
- 1 large onion (diced)
- 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 100g Butter
- 100ml Double cream
Cooking Method
- The Boil Simmer washed lentils and beans in 1L water until they break down.
- The Architect Sauté onions in butter until they are deep, sweet, and golden.
- The Bloom Add spices and a splash of water to create an aromatic base.
- The Reduction Add the cooked lentils; simmer low for 20 minutes, mashing slightly to thicken.
- The Finish Stir in the cream and top with a final knob of butter.
