THE IRON-POT MINCED FEAST
(Our Play on Keema Matar)
Ingredients: 500g Lamb or Beef mince (high fat), 1 Onion (chopped), 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp Cumin seeds, 1 tsp Chili powder, 1 tsp Turmeric, 1 tsp Garam Masala, 150g Frozen peas, 2 Green chilies, 1 tbsp Tomato purée...
Ingredients
- 500g Lamb or Beef mince (high fat)
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 150g Frozen peas
- 2 Green chilies
- 1 tbsp Tomato purée
Cooking Method
- The Temper Sizzle cumin seeds in oil until they pop.
- The Mince Scorch Add meat; fry on high until browned and water has evaporated.
- The Bloom Stir in spices and tomato purée; fry in the fat for 5 minutes.
- The Green Pop Add peas and 50ml water; cover and cook for 5 minutes until peas are tender.
- The Finish Top with fresh ginger matchsticks and lemon.
