(Our Play on Chicken Jalfrezi)
Ingredients: 500g Chicken breast (strips), 1 Green bell pepper, 1 Red bell pepper, 1 large onion (petals), 3 Green chilies (slit), 1 tsp Turmeric, 1 tsp Cumin powder, 1 tsp Garam Masala, 2 tbsp Tomato purée, 15ml Malt vinegar...
Ingredients
- 500g Chicken breast (strips)
- 1 Green bell pepper
- 1 Red bell pepper
- 1 large onion (petals)
- 3 Green chilies (slit)
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp Tomato purée
- 15ml Malt vinegar
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Fry onions and peppers on high heat for 3 minutes until blackened slightly; remove.
- The Sizzle Fry chicken with ginger-garlic paste and chilies for 5 minutes.
- The Bloom Add the spice mix, tomato purée, and a 20ml splash of water to coat the meat.
- The Marriage Toss charred veg back in with the vinegar; stir-fry for 3 minutes.
- The Finish Ensure the sauce clings tightly to the meat and veg.
