THE GOLDEN SLURP-BOWL

Ingredients: 200g Udon noodles (fresh or frozen), 1 tbsp Curry powder, 1 tsp Turmeric, 1 tsp Garlic paste, 500ml Beef or Veg stock, 1 tbsp Soy sauce, 1 tbsp Honey, 1 Red onion (sliced into petals)...

Ingredients

  • 200g Udon noodles (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tbsp Curry powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 500ml Beef or Veg stock
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 Red onion (sliced into petals)

Cooking Method

  1. The Architect Sauté onions in 1 tbsp butter until golden brown and sweet.
  2. The Bloom Add the spices and a 30ml splash of stock; fry until a thick, fragrant paste forms.
  3. The Swell Add the rest of the stock and soy; bring to a boil. Add the udon noodles and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. The Silk Merge Whisk in 1 tsp cornflour (mixed with water) to thicken the sauce into a velvet soup.
  5. The Final Flourish Finish with fresh spring onions and a sprinkle of chili flakes.
