Ingredients

  • 200g Moong dal (Yellow lentils)
  • 500ml Water
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Green chili (split)

Cooking Method

  1. The Boil Boil lentils until they are soft and have almost dissolved into a creamy soup.
  2. The Bloom Add a splash of water to adjust thickness to your liking.
  3. The Tarka Melt butter in a small pan; fry cumin and chili until they sizzle and darken.
  4. The Marriage Pour the hot temper over the lentils; serve immediately.
