(Our Play on Garlic Dal Fry)

Ingredients
- 200g Arhar Dal (Yellow split peas)
- 6 cloves Garlic (finely diced)
- 2 tbsp Butter/Ghee
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Chili powder
Cooking Method
- The Boil Boil dal with turmeric until soft and creamy.
- The Garlic Scorch Fry garlic in butter on high heat until it turns deep golden and almost nutty.
- The Bloom Add cumin and chili with a tiny splash of water to form a red, aromatic oil.
- The Marriage Pour the hot garlic butter over the dal; do not stir too much—leave the garlic on top.
- The Final Flourish Top with fresh coriander and serve piping hot.
