Ingredients
- 4 Slices of sourdough or rustic bread
- 2 cloves Garlic (whole)
- 2 Ripe Tomatoes (halved)
- 1 tsp Salt
- Pinch of Black pepper
- 50ml Extra virgin olive oil
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Toast the bread until the edges are blackened and charred.
- The Architect Rub the raw garlic cloves vigorously over the hot, rough bread surface.
- The Bloom Rub the cut side of the tomatoes onto the bread until only the skin remains; the nectar will swell into the grain.
- The Marriage Add a tiny 5ml splash of water to the salt before sprinkling; this helps the salt vanish into the tomato silk.
- The Final Flourish Finish with a heavy drizzle of raw olive oil.
