THE FIRE-STUNG STEAK STRIPS

Ingredients: 500g Beef sirloin (thin strips), 2 Bell peppers (petals), 1 Large onion (petals), 1 tbsp Chili powder, 1 tsp Cumin, 1 tsp Smoked paprika, 2 tbsp Olive oil, 1 Lime (juiced)...

Ingredients

  • 500g Beef sirloin (thin strips)
  • 2 Bell peppers (petals)
  • 1 Large onion (petals)
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Lime (juiced)

Cooking Method

  1. The Scorch High-heat stir-fry onions and peppers until they are charred and blackened at the edges.
  2. The Sear Push veg aside; sear beef strips on maximum heat for 2 minutes until browned.
  3. The Bloom Add the spices and a 20ml splash of water; the steam will carry the spice into the meat and veg.
  4. The Marriage Add lime juice; toss everything for 1 minute until glistening and lacquered.
  5. The Final Flourish Serve with fresh raw salsa and warm tortillas.
