THE FIRE-STUNG PORK-SLABS
(Our Play on Spicy Pork Steaks)
Ingredients: 2 Pork shoulder steaks, 1 tbsp Chili powder, 1 tsp Garlic powder, 1 tsp Dried Oregano, 2 tbsp Olive oil, 1 tbsp Honey, 1 tbsp Lime juice...
Ingredients
- 2 Pork shoulder steaks
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Lime juice
Cooking Method
- The Coat Rub the pork with oil and spices; add a 10ml splash of water to the rub to help it penetrate the meat fibers.
- The Scorch Fry in a heavy pan on high heat for 5 minutes per side until blackened and charred.
- The Marriage Whisk honey and lime juice; pour over the hot pork in the pan for 30 seconds.
- The Final Flourish Rest for 5 minutes then slice; top with raw fresh coriander.
