THE FIRE-STUNG BEEF-CRUMBLE

- 500g Beef mince
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Onion powder
- 100ml Beef stock
- 1 tbsp Tomato purée
- 1 small onion (minced)
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Fry the beef and onion on high heat until the meat is browned and the fat renders.
- The Bloom Add the spices and tomato purée with a 30ml splash of stock; fry for 2 minutes until the oil turns red and fragrant.
- The Marriage Add the remaining stock; simmer for 5 minutes until the liquid reduces to a thick, dark silk that coats the crumble.
- The Final Flourish Finish with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and use for tacos or nachos.
