THE FERMENTED FIRE-GRAINS
(Our Play on Kimchi Fried Rice)
Ingredients: 300g Jasmine rice (cold, cooked), 150g Kimchi (chopped), 2 tbsp Kimchi juice, 1 tbsp Gochujang, 100g Bacon or Tofu (diced), 1 small red onion (diced)...
Ingredients
- 300g Jasmine rice (cold, cooked)
- 150g Kimchi (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Kimchi juice
- 1 tbsp Gochujang
- 100g Bacon or Tofu (diced)
- 1 small red onion (diced)
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Fry bacon/tofu and onions until crispy and golden.
- The Bloom Add kimchi and gochujang with a 20ml splash of water; fry until the red oil separates.
- The Marriage Add the rice; stir-fry on high heat for 4 minutes until every grain is stained red.
- The Final Flourish Finish with a heavy drizzle of sesame oil and a fried egg on top.
