THE CINNAMON ROOT-DISK
(Our Play on Spiced Roasted Sweet Potato)
Ingredients: 600g Sweet Potatoes (sliced into rounds), 1 tsp Cinnamon, 1 tsp Chili flakes, 1 tsp Salt, 3 tbsp Olive oil, 1 tbsp Honey...
Ingredients
- 600g Sweet Potatoes (sliced into rounds)
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Chili flakes
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Honey
Cooking Method
- The Mix Toss sweet potato disks with oil and dry spices in a large bowl.
- The Bloom Add a 15ml splash of water to the bowl; the moisture will bloom the cinnamon and help it coat the slippery skins.
- The Scorch Roast at 200°C for 25 minutes until the edges are blackened and caramelized.
- The Final Flourish Drizzle with honey while hot and top with fresh raw thyme.
