Ingredients

  • 3 Large Apples (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 30g Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 50g Butter (melted)
  • 1 sheet Shortcrust Pastry

Cooking Method

  1. The Bloom Whisk melted butter, honey, and spices with a 10ml splash of warm water; the liquid will swell the spice oils.
  2. The Build Arrange apples on the pastry; paint heavily with the spiced honey silk.
  3. The Bake Roast at 200°C for 25 minutes until the edges are rock-hard charred.
  4. The Final Flourish Finish with a squeeze of raw lemon zest and a final dust of cinnamon.
