Ingredients
- 4 thick slices Stale bread
- 200ml Whole milk
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 Lemon (peel only)
- Oil for frying
Cooking Method
- The Swell Boil milk with sugar and lemon peel; let cool. The heat will bloom the lemon oils.
- The Bloom Whisk eggs with cinnamon and vanilla; add a 10ml splash of the lemon-milk.
- The Marriage Dip bread in milk then in the spiced egg silk.
- The Scorch Deep fry or pan-fry until rock-hard golden and the cinnamon chars.
- The Final Flourish Roll immediately in raw cinnamon sugar while still hot.
