Ingredients: 4 thick slices Stale bread, 200ml Whole milk, 2 Eggs, 2 tbsp Sugar, 2 tsp Cinnamon, 1 tsp Vanilla extract, 1 Lemon (peel only), Oil for frying...

Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices Stale bread
  • 200ml Whole milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 Lemon (peel only)
  • Oil for frying

Cooking Method

  1. The Swell Boil milk with sugar and lemon peel; let cool. The heat will bloom the lemon oils.
  2. The Bloom Whisk eggs with cinnamon and vanilla; add a 10ml splash of the lemon-milk.
  3. The Marriage Dip bread in milk then in the spiced egg silk.
  4. The Scorch Deep fry or pan-fry until rock-hard golden and the cinnamon chars.
  5. The Final Flourish Roll immediately in raw cinnamon sugar while still hot.
