Ingredients: 400g Firm Tofu (cubed), 2 tbsp Black peppercorns (coarsely crushed), 1 Red onion (petals), 1 Green pepper (petals), 2 tbsp Dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp Brown sugar, 1 tbsp Butter...

Ingredients

  • 400g Firm Tofu (cubed)
  • 2 tbsp Black peppercorns (coarsely crushed)
  • 1 Red onion (petals)
  • 1 Green pepper (petals)
  • 2 tbsp Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Butter

Cooking Method

  1. The Scorch Fry tofu cubes in 2 tbsp oil until the edges are golden and crispy; remove.
  2. The Architect Sauté onions and peppers on max heat until charred but still crunchy.
  3. The Bloom Add pepper, soy, and sugar with a 25ml splash of water to form a dark, peppery syrup.
  4. The Marriage Toss the tofu and veg back in with the butter until the sauce is a thick lacquer.
  5. The Finish Garnish with fresh spring onion matchsticks.
