THE BLACK-BEAN LACQUER-STRIPS
(Our Play on Beef with Black Bean Sauce)
Ingredients: 400g Beef steak (strips), 2 tbsp Fermented black beans (smashed), 1 tbsp Garlic paste, 2 tbsp Soy sauce, 1 tbsp Sugar, 1 Green pepper (petals), 1 Red onion (petals)...

- 400g Beef steak (strips)
- 2 tbsp Fermented black beans (smashed)
- 1 tbsp Garlic paste
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Green pepper (petals)
- 1 Red onion (petals)
Cooking Method
- The Scorch High-heat stir-fry peppers and onions until charred; remove.
- The Sear Add beef; fry on max heat for 2 minutes until sealed and browned.
- The Bloom Add black beans, garlic, and silk ingredients with a 30ml splash of water; boil until it forms a dark lacquer.
- The Marriage Toss the veg back in until everything is coated in the salty, black silk.
- The Final Flourish Finish with a handful of raw spring onions.
