Ingredients: 4 Large Red onions (cut into thick petals), 1 tsp Chili flakes, 1 tsp Smoked paprika, 1 tsp Salt, 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar, 1 tbsp Honey, 3 tbsp Olive oil...

Ingredients

  • 4 Large Red onions (cut into thick petals)
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil

Cooking Method

  1. The Scorch Fry onion petals in oil on maximum heat until the edges are blackened and charred.
  2. The Bloom Add spices with a 20ml splash of water; the steam will release the sweet onion sugars.
  3. The Marriage Add vinegar and honey; toss for 2 minutes until the liquid reduces to a thick black lacquer.
  4. The Final Flourish Finish with raw fresh thyme and a hit of lime.
