THE BALSAMIC FIRE-BELLS
(Our Play on Roasted Peppers with Garlic)
Ingredients: 3 Large Bell peppers (whole), 3 cloves Garlic (finely sliced), 50ml Olive oil, 1 tsp Smoked paprika, 1 tsp Salt, 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp Honey...
Ingredients
- 3 Large Bell peppers (whole)
- 3 cloves Garlic (finely sliced)
- 50ml Olive oil
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp Honey
Cooking Method
- The Scorch Roast whole peppers at 220°C until the skins are blackened and blistered; peel and slice into strips.
- The Architect In a pan, gently fry the garlic in oil until pale gold.
- The Bloom Add paprika and salt with a tiny 15ml splash of water; the steam will release the deep woodiness.
- The Marriage Toss the pepper strips in the garlic-oil; add balsamic and honey. Stir for 1 minute until syrupy.
- The Final Flourish Serve at room temperature with a hit of raw fresh thyme.
